ANZAC perspective writing

DATE: 25.4.1915
Tut tut tut tut tut BOOM rattle rattle tut tut tut tut BOOM!!!!! I trod up the hill while the hail of bullets the booming of shells are fired down. I duck, and sprint into the medics tent, lifting the wounded soldier off my back, and laying him down on the bed. I can hear the groaning of the other badly injured men. Then look out at the chaos happening around the cove. I look back at my trench and run. I clamber in, and all of a sudden………….. BOOM!! a shell explodes in front of the dirty trench, the shock pushes me off my feet my hands smack into the muddy floor. I push myself to my feet and move along the trench. The smell of dead bodies filled the air. All I want to do is go home. I lift my head, the firing has stopped. The commander yells it’s time again to bury the dead. I’ve made it through another day.
