It had taken 5 years of research to even scratch the surface of the lost treasures location. There had been many dangerous wild goose chases trying find the loot but finally I had found it. It all started 2 days ago on a beach off the coast of New Zealand. It had taken 24 hours with little rest to find the stone circle in the middle of nowhere ARGH! I groaned, I didn’t think I’d have to get wet, I thought It would be on a secret island or something! I took off my shirt, grabbed the biggest air tank and dived in.
*** It was a lot of gold, when I say a lot I mean LOT probably a million gazillion dollars worth. This is too easy I said with a smile (It probably sounded like- mmh mhm mh I was under water). Something slithered past my leg, I spoke too soon I thought!! I spun around only to come face to fish face with a fish monster. He shouted something like GLURP BLURB TURL BLUR! It probably translated to either come have a tea party or- GET OUT OF HERE! In angry fish language, I think it was the second one
Yep, before I could say “what”, I heard the clang of the jail door shut and I wasn’t on the right side. I checked my air tank, ½ fill not long I thought. I looked out the bars to check if the fish man was there, he was nowhere to be found. WHOA I said in surprise as I lost my balance and fell onto the bars, with no resistance the door swung open I looked at the lock but it didn’t have a lock. "HA" I said in delight. The fish man doesn't check his locks, I’m free I screamed!!! At that second the fish man came around the corner. "I spoke to soon again" I groaned.
I frantically looked for a way to stun the big fish. I grabbed my air tank and donked him on the head. He went unconscious in an instant. But there was one complication, the air tank was gone! I probably should have thought this through, I thought. I swam faster than I ever have before, I burst through the surface. YES free at last! I screamed! Then I realized I didn’t have a drop of gold NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
